Dhisha Moorjani

Established in October 2003 by style arbiter Dhisha Moorjani, House of Jaipur embraces the fusion of eastern and western culture and the influence of the eastern tradition on our Caribbean shores, celebrating the genius of the Indian artisan.

In May 1845, the first Indian indentured laborers from India landed in Trinidad and Tobago and they brought not only a new labor force to assist in the economic development of Trinidad and Tobago but also a new people with a new culture, a new lifestyle and new traditions.

Dhisha has always recognized this integral part of our country’s history was a direct result of Trinidad and Tobago’s unique multiethnic culture.

House of Jaipur’s concept promotes Indian Lifestyle and focuses not only on Indian fashion and fashion accessories but also on Indian Fabrics and textiles, Indian home Décor and Handicrafts.

Owned and managed by its creative Director, Dhisha Moorjani, House of Jaipur was created through a labour of love and has prospered through the years mainly because of the good wishes and positive energies of our patrons who continue to support them throughout the years.

Dhisha has recently expanded the brand into Barbados and have now opened another branch on the West Coast at the Limegrove Lifestyle Centre, in Holetown, St James. Now, she hopes to bring these ideals to the Carnival Landscape

“We invite our clients to cross the threshold of the Indian house and discover in it an extraordinary variety of style and décor which can be fused comfortably with our Island lifestyle.”
